Dear humorless dumbasses:

1) It’s a joke picture. Laugh at it. Don’t get all prissy and whiny about it.

2) 2,000 years later and Mary is still a virgin in the Catholic Church. Doesn’t that tell you something?

3) I don’t care if you think religion is “not funny”. Everything has to have some humor in it. It is ridiculous to assume that religion must be morbidly straight-faced all the freaking time. Even politics have funny points, and the whole world rests on global politics (oh, wait…)

Wow, those comments make quite a read.

Here are mine:

Freedom of thought, and freedom of speech, are God given rights. There is however, no need to abuse them.

People have a right to their beliefs, to ridicule those deeply held beliefs, is just plain mean.

It is true, it was not one priest, we are talking thousands of cases, and the fact that the Catholic Church, covered up, and aided in these crimes, and does to this day, opens it up to deserved criticism. The parishioners, however, do not deserve the blame for this. Them most they should be criticised for, is continueing to support the abominations of the Catholic Church. Withhold your offerings, right letters demanding justice, stand up to these criminals and those who support them, or you become part of the problem.

If one has a sense of irony, it is difficult not to see the humor in that image, even if there are people who suffered from the acts of some pervert priests.

What is most striking to me, is the nearly total lack of maturity, in the above posts.

You may resume your flaming, I am done for now.

I’m sorry and I’ll pray for those of you who think religion is some kind of a joke. But when the rapture comes and us loyal Christians are lifted to the Heavens, YOU will be more sorry. The bible says that “even the proud shall shed a tear”. I’m not here to argue… just tell you what I know. God bless
