I agree with Matt. It looks most like the Navy, their on an aircraft carrier. Liam, the United States Air Force isn’t the only branch in the military with aircrafts.
If you’ll notice, everythis in the photo is nice and clear – including the sidewinder missle. What does that mean? it means that the MISSLE IS NOT MOVING, aka it has not been fired. had it been fired, the person taking the photo would have been lucky to get it in the shot at all, much less clear and in focus with no blurr.
June 3, 1987 western Pacific A AIM-9M Sidewinder missile is falling off a F/A18A from VFA 192 while the aircraft is landing on the flight deck of the USS MIDWAY. The missile slides along the deck and falls into the ocean. No injuries are reported.
Usually I wou7ld agree that it has to be Navy, but (and I may be wrong) I think I see the Airforce insignia under the cockpit… The photo is a little blurry there so it’s hard to tell.
